History
The Friends Center for Racial Justice was formed by Ithaca Monthly Meeting out of the longing for a deeply rooted spiritual community united by authentic and just relationships, forgiveness and love, and from a recognition of the need to overcome the barriers that separate us.
Mission
The Friends Center for Racial Justice provides a physical space where all Friends can come together to work on racism within the Religious Society of Friends. It promotes racial healing, raises awareness of white privilege and works to increase an appreciation of racial diversity. The Center aims to connect Friends with individuals and organizations in their local communities working on racial Justice.
